Hello, and welcome to my blog. I never really thought about the environment until I was a little bit older (college age). See, I grew up in the 80's where it seemed like there wasn't a care in the world. Everything was bright, colorful and laid back. I guess people then were living in the now and not really thinking about how their actions and lifestyle would affect our world as we know it today.
From the 80's on, technology and computers had taken off and built us a world of convenience; everything seemed so easy and right at your finger tips. It also became a world of plastic; I mean everything was made out of plastic: (toys, playgrounds, bags, bottles, containers, cd's and cd cases, phone cases, chairs, packaging etc... ) and the list goes on.
Finally, in the new millennium, the awareness about the pollution from plastic in our oceans has opened our eyes and now we see the devastation we have caused with our convenient plastic lives.
Now it is time to undo all the damage that we have brought upon our earth, but we all need to care, we all need to try, because everything matters, all life on this planet matters and every little step we take to lower our carbon footprint matters.
